Nigeria’s ambassador to the US, Sylvanus Nsofor is dead

Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor, Thursday night passed.

Nsofor reportedly died at the age of 85-year-old, with no official confirmation yet from government authorities, ThisDay is reporting.

A retired justice of Nigeria’s Court of Appeal, Nsofor assumed office as Nigeria’s ambassador to the United States on 13 November 2017.

The envoy succeeded Prof. Adebowale Adefuye, who died towards the end of his tenure as Nigeria’s ambassador to the US.

He died in a Maryland hospital, United States.
