Obi wins FCT with 281,717 votes ahead of Tinubu, Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has emerged as the winner of the 2023 presidential election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Obi polled 281,717 votes ahead of Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who secured 90,902 votes while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) garnered 74,199 votes.

The Labour Party candidate defeated his closest opponent with 190,815 votes.

Out of the six area councils in the FCT, Labour Party triumphed in four, while the APC won two.

Apart from Abuja, Obi has also won states like Enugu, Nasarawa, Plateau and Lagos, and Anambra.
