Ooni of Ife welcomes Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda as 7th wife

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has taken a new queen named Olori Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda, making her his seventh wife.

According to reports from Naija News, the palace has sent out invitations to relatives and dignitaries for the wedding thanksgiving service and reception of the new Queen, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

The ceremony will begin with the traditional entry of the Queen into the historic and revered Ife Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife.

This wedding thanksgiving comes a few months after the prominent Yoruba monarch married his sixth wife, Princess Temitope Adesegun.

The previous event was held at MRA Community Hall 15, Tokunbo Macaulay Street, Magodo Phase 2, Shangisha, Lagos State.

Recall that the monarch has previously separated from two of his wives, namely Olori Zainab and Olori Naomi.

During the upcoming ceremony, the new Queen, Opeoluwa Elizabeth, will be welcomed by the royal guards, palace chiefs, and other royal staff, who will represent the Yoruba monarch and formally introduce her to the community.
