PDP governors meet over Damagum, NWC
Governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have gathered for a crucial meeting today with Acting National Chairman Ambassador Umar Damagum and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu to tackle ongoing internal challenges.
This meeting comes ahead of a National Executive Committee (NEC) session scheduled for Thursday, where the reconciliation committee led by Olagunsoye Oyinlola is expected to present its findings and recommendations aimed at enhancing party unity.
After a recent meeting with the PDP National Assembly caucus, Oyinlola stressed the importance of unity for achieving electoral success.
“To win any political battle, a party must be united, and that’s our goal,” he stated, addressing concerns about the party’s declining fortunes.
The former Osun State governor also confirmed that strategies are being refined in preparation for the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, as the party works to reconcile aggrieved members.
