Pindiga: Yahaya condemns killing of siblings, orders manhunt for attackers
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has condemned the killing of two siblings, Yusuf Daddy and his sister, Faiza, during a violent attack on Pindiga town in Akko Local Government Area in the early hours of Saturday.
The attack, which also resulted in the abduction of four other residents, has plunged the community into grief and reignited concerns over security in the area.

Describing the incident as barbaric and unacceptable, the governor said the killing of innocent citizens in their homes, along with the abduction of women and children, constitutes a heinous crime that threatens the peace and stability of Gombe State.
“This dastardly act is a direct assault on our collective conscience and a painful test of our resolve to protect lives and property,” Yahaya said, adding that the government and people of the state share in the sorrow of the bereaved families and the Pindiga community.

The governor assured that the perpetrators would not go unpunished, disclosing that the Nigeria Police and other security agencies have commenced intensive investigations into the killings and abductions.
He directed security agencies to deploy all necessary resources to apprehend those responsible, secure the safe release of the abducted residents, and ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
Reaffirming his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on crime, Yahaya warned criminals and their collaborators that Gombe State would not serve as a safe haven for lawlessness. He said security operations across the state would be intensified, intelligence gathering strengthened, and collaboration with local communities enhanced to prevent future attacks.
The governor also urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative with security agencies, assuring the people of Pindiga and the wider Gombe community of the government’s commitment to restoring peace and security.
