The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast generally sunny and partly cloudy weather conditions across the country from Monday, December 29, 2025, to Wednesday.

The agency released the three-day outlook on Sunday in Abuja, noting that most parts of the country will experience fair weather, with pockets of cloudiness and isolated thunderstorms in some areas.

According to NiMet, the Central region will experience sunny skies with a few cloud patches in the morning, while predominantly sunny conditions with occasional clouds are expected in the afternoon and evening.

For the Southern region, the forecast indicates sunny skies with patches of clouds in the morning, alongside chances of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light rainfall over parts of Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, southern Ondo, and southern Edo states. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms with light rainfall are expected over parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Delta, Ondo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Imo, Abia, and Anambra states.

The agency advised motorists to exercise caution while driving, warning that reduced visibility and slippery roads may occur in areas experiencing rainfall.

NiMet also urged members of the public to plan outdoor activities and travel in line with prevailing weather conditions, while airline operators were encouraged to obtain regular weather briefings from the agency to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
