PMB applauds ministers, staff for achievements, loyalty

President Muhammadu Buhari participated in a valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in Abuja, expressing his gratitude to the ministers and staff of the State House for their support and loyalty during his eight-year administration.

The President commended the ministers for their dedication in pursuing the administration’s goals and urged them to extend their support to the incoming President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even outside of government.

In his statement at the valedictory session, President Buhari thanked the ministers for their collective efforts and emphasized that they had given their best.

Despite numerous challenges, the President acknowledged their ability to work closely together and maintain a synergy that led to several achievements.

President Buhari directed the ministers to complete their work diligently, cautioning against any last-minute rush that might compromise their previous accomplishments.

He urged them to let go of any grievances or differences they might have had and encouraged them to prioritize the collective good.

The President also acknowledged that not all members of the administration would continue in government roles, including himself.

However, he requested their continued support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), the political party that provided the platform for their success.

He expressed his confidence that they would be called upon to contribute in various capacities and asked for their commitment to support the party.

President Buhari attributed the administration’s success and the goodwill it received to divine intervention, expressing gratitude to God for strength and unity.

Looking ahead, he expressed his anticipation of hearing positive news about the achievements of his former colleagues and expressed his desire to pursue his personal interests, such as taking care of his cattle, which he had been unable to do during his presidency.

In addition to the valedictory session, President Buhari also met with the members of the State House staff.

He commended both the senior and junior workers for their support throughout his administration’s tenure, acknowledging the administration’s efforts to address their concerns and meet their needs within the available resources.
