Police arrest husband as Gov. Zulum orders autopsy on lawmaker’s daughter killed at home

Adam Alhaji Ibrahim, husband to late Fatima Alhaji Bukar who was killed by unknown criminals, has been arrested by the Borno State Police Command.

Fatima, a daughter to Honourable Bukar Abacha, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Ngala, was reportedly murdered on Tuesday by some unidentified criminals at her residence in Dikechiri Bayan Gidan Dambe in Maiduguri.

The deceased was tied with ropes, her mouth covered and was stabbed multiple times with a knife, which ultimately resulted in her death.

A source within the family said Adam was arrested Tuesday night after Governor Babagana Umara Zulum directed authorities to take her body back to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for autopsy that would ascertain the cause of her death.

Her family has earlier slated Wednesday 2:00 pm for her burial at 707 Housing Estate Maiduguri before this development.

The governor’s move was to investigate and unravel the criminals who carried out the dastardly act and bring them to book.
