Police arrest man for stabbing elder brother to death during dispute
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested Christian Ndubuisi for allegedly stabbing his elder brother to death in Onitsha, following a minor dispute.
A statement from the command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed that the suspect was apprehended by operatives from the 3-3 Divisional Headquarters on February 15, 2025.
According to Ikenga, “Preliminary information indicates that during an altercation with the deceased, the suspect broke a bottle and used it to stab his elder brother.
“The victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead by the attending physician.”

He added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc MNIPS PhD, notes that this incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and anger management.
“It is indeed tragic to witness a minor disagreement escalate into a violent confrontation, resulting in the loss of life.”
The CP further instructed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka, assuring that justice will be served.
