Police arrest Roselime Ikeoha, Nigerian woman, in international drug syndicate crackdown

Authorities in Bengaluru, India, have arrested Roselime Oluchi Ikeoha, a 40-year-old Nigerian woman, in connection with one of the city’s largest drug seizures. The Anti-Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) recovered 12 kilograms of MDMA, valued at approximately ₹24 crore, from her possession.

Ikeoha, who had been running a grocery shop in TC Palya for five years, allegedly used the business as a cover for her drug-peddling activities. Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda confirmed the arrest, describing it as a significant operation that dismantled an international MDMA crystal drug network.

“The Narcotics Control Wing successfully seized 12 kilograms of pure white and yellow MDMA. This is one of the biggest drug busts in Bengaluru and Karnataka,” Dayananda stated.

Investigations revealed that Ikeoha had overstayed her business visa, which expired years ago. During interrogation, she reportedly admitted to selling drugs at inflated prices and profiting from the illegal trade.

“She confessed to her involvement in drug trafficking and making illegal money,” Dayananda disclosed.

Authorities are now working to trace her suppliers and unravel the network. A Mumbai-based woman is believed to be a key player in the operation.

The investigation also uncovered 70 SIM cards in Ikeoha’s possession, raising concerns about the scale and sophistication of her network.

“We are probing the role of her supplier, the Mumbai woman, and the origin of the drugs. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend her accomplices,” Dayananda added.

The case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Foreigners Act. Police assure that further investigations will leave no stone unturned.
