Police officers  accused of extorting ₦455,000 from social media influencer in Delta State

The influencer claimed that the police framed him by slipping drugs into his pockets and accusing him.

A social media influencer with the X handle @M_szn__ has alleged that operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Warri, Delta State, extorted ₦455,000 from him.

The incident occurred along Sapele Road in Warri.

The influencer shared a bank transfer receipt showing the recipient details as Iyau Abubakar Monie point 8200126710 and pictures of himself in handcuffs.

In a post, shared on X (former Twitter) handle, the influencer expressed outrage and frustration, stating, “Nigerian police is at it again… 455k gone like that, I’m so pissed off… they framed me by slipping drugs in my pockets, God punish the whole Nigeria police force…una nor go die well, y’all will suffer the consequences of your actions.

“It happened in Warri, along Sapele road.. right now I’m still shaken, pissed off and depressed… I don’t wish any police officer well, I pray life becomes difficult for them just has they have done to me.”

Reacting to the post, Delta Command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, urged the victim to send him direct mail with details of the incident.

Edafe cautioned the influencer against cursing the entire Nigeria Police Force, saying, “You can’t curse the entire Nigeria Police Force because of the actions of one person. State the details like where and when it happened. If curse like this dey work, nobody for dey alive now.”
