Police to intervene as man battles for survival after being crushed by officers with a car

A man has reportedly been hospitalised after he was forced to lie on the road and a car driven by police officers climbed on him in Ekpoma, Edo State.

According to reports, in a video making round on social media showed a man’s hands and legs were tied on the floor and a police officer inside the bus forcefully moved the car and climbed the victim.

Residents in the area quickly rushed to the scene and engaged the police officer and prevented the officer after seeing the victim was under the car.

Although the date when the incident occurred is yet to be ascertained, the video shows the victim’s hand and leg tied as he was made to lie on the floor.

Reacting to the viral video, spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who condemned said the actions by the police officers were ‘unpolice’ and added that he never believed any human being could do such.

‘’This is unpolice. I dont think a normal human being can do this. To crush a man with a car? This is unbelievable. I have personally contacted the CP Edo on this. We need to take urgent action on the matter. It’s strange to me as a person.”
