A policewoman identified as APC Maureen has been declared wanted after she allegedly shoots her own husband twice at Dago Area in Nyalenda, Kisumu, Kenya over a domestic issue.
Maureen shot her husband with an AK-47 rifle for giving their house help money without her consent and also refusing to pick her calls when she called him.
The husband who is also a medical officer at the Milimani Hospital in Kisumu revealed that the incident occurred when he was watching television.
According to a report released by the police, “she stood at the door while armed with an AK-47 rifle. She told him she is going to kill him and herself then cocked the gun, shot at him twice, injuring him on the right side of the head just above the ear.
“She then disappeared to an unknown place after returning the firearm to her fellow colleague APC Nancy at the office.”
The husband, however, has been discharged after receiving treatment from the Kisumu Country Hospital.
