Story by Kasim Isa Muhammad

The grain market in Ngelzarma town of Yobe state have witnessed modest fluctuations in food commodity prices this week, with slight increases in beans and a noticeable drop in the prices of millet, maize, and sorghum.

According to market sources, the current price of new millet now ranges between ₦47,000 and ₦48,000, reflecting a mild decline compared to previous weeks.

Meanwhile, maize varieties are being sold between ₦45,000 and ₦47,000, marking a decrease in cost.

Sorghum prices also saw a downward trend. Kaura Sorghum now sells for between ₦40,000 and ₦41,000, while White Sorghum is priced between ₦44,000 and ₦46,000. The price of Wala Sorghum (Wuyo) remains unlisted, as does that of the Kwakwai Sorghum variety.
