Prof. Adamu Ahmed appointed Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University

Professor Adamu Ahmed has been appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria by the institution’s Governing Council.

This was disclosed by the Public Affairs Directorate Office of the Vice-Chancellor,
Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (VID) on
Wednesday, 5th February, 2025.

Prof. Ahmed teaches at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the institution.

A one-time director of the institution’s Directorate of University Advancement, Prof Ahmed is the current Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kano.

Prof. Ahmed’s appointment was announced at 6:15 am on Wednesday, 5th February 2025) during the 209th (Special) Council meeting presided over by its Chairman, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR.
