A Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano on Wednesday sentenced Sahalu Musa to one-month imprisonment for stealing 25 litres of diesel.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Umar Tahir had told the court that the convict committed the offence on May 18, at Tudun Yola Quarters, Kano.
Tahir said that one Emanuel Luka and a team attached to Iron Guard Integrated Service Limited, arrested the convict, a security guard of the company for being in possession of the diesel.
The defendant, who lives at Kabuga Quarters, Kano, admitted committing the offence and was convicted.
He was charged with theft that contravened the provisions of Section 288 of the Penal Code.
The Magistrate, Musa Ibrahim convicted Sahalu Musa to one-month imprisonment with an option of N10,000 fine.
