Shehu of Borno moves to educate people on repentant Boko Haram members

The Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar IBN Umar Garbai has organized a powerful workshop to educate his subjects on the need to accept members of repentant Boko Haram that will soon be integrated into the society.

Since thousands of Boko Haram members have surrendered to the Army and Borno State Government, some of their victims are threatening to reject them on the ground that they cannot forget, their relations, properties and other materials destroyed by some of the repentant Boko Haram members.

The State Governor, Professor Zulum himself was disturbed when the Militants started surrendering, he had to run to the presidency for advice, and support on how to rehabilitate, those who repented and how to integrate them into the society.

The Shehu’s Emirate decided to assist the Governor by organizing a workshop in conjunction with UNICEF and UNDP to educate people of the state on the need to accept this set of people who are now being accommodated at Hajj Camp in Maiduguri.
