A reknown and respected Islamic teacher and leader, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, has declared today as first of Shawwal, the Islamic month after Ramadan.
By that, the Sheikh has called on people to pray the Eid.

In an audio message circulated yesterday, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi said the moon has been sighted in many towns including Zaria, Bauchi, Yawuri and Yobe.
The Sheikh further said the Sultan was informed but he said he has “already taken a decision” on the matter.
