NiMet forecasts heavy rains across Nigeria, issues alert The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast thunderstorms and rainfall across dozens of states on Thursday, September 25. The warning covers Kano, Abuja, and 16 other states. In its outlook released on September 24, NiMet predicted isolated thunderstorms coupled with light rain in the morning across parts of Taraba, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Gombe, and Adamawa states.
