Three policemen have been reportedly killed by suspected ESN gunmen on Wednesday evening, while on duty at Onuebonyi/Nwezenyi road, Abakaliki, close to Cross River and the Ebonyi States' border. In a report by The Independent, the unidentified gunmen were said to have raided the police checkpoint in a bus, and started shooting, killing three police on the spot and injuring another three persons.
