ATBU denies ‘forced marriage’ directive, describes circulating Ramadan memo as fake The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) has dismissed as fake a purported internal memo circulating on social media which allegedly directed female students to accept marriage proposals during Ramadan. In a statement issued by the university’s management, ATBU described the document as “false, misleading, and malicious,” stressing that no such directive was ever issued by the institution.
