The proposed nationwide youth protest is a bad idea, by Mujahid Mukhtar

I am of the view that the upcoming protest will not be a good solution to our problem. It will rather generate another problem thereby causing a lot of loss to Nigerian businessmen and women.

My view about this problem and the solution is that the youth should unite and form or build a better political party which is free from corruption, religious bigotry and geographical discrimination.

Voting along geopolitical zones will not help matter. The youth should bring out a competent presidential aspirant among themselves and vote for him in the 2027 general elections. We can do it because we form one third of Nigeria’s population.

There are some people waiting for that day to take the advantage of the protest to cause harm to others, either by assaulting them or causing them financial damage. Therefore, let us consider and find another alternative to solving the current economic hardship in the country.
