The Prosecutor, Inspector E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan.10 at about 7.00 pm at Mercury Mill Company, Km 38, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Ota.

Adaraloye alleged that the defendants, who worked with Mercury Mill Company, were caught by security guards at the gate post with a pack of nylon valued at ₦30,000.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs O.O. Fadairo, granted each of the defendants bail in the sum of 10,000 with one surety each in like sum.

Fadairo said that the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed with evidence of tax payment to the Ogun Government.

She adjourned the case until March 4 for further hearing.
