The ban on drone operation was declared following the unfortunate use of commercial unmanned aerial
vehicles, breaching peace and security across the North East Theatre, as well as the observed increase in the proliferation of such machines for commercial and recreational purposes.
The Air Component Operation HADIN KAI,
which is saddled with the responsibility of monitoring and regulating aerial platform operations including aircraft and drones in the North East Theatre issued the directive for a complete ban on drone usage.
This was sequel to a directive from its Appropriate Superior Authority. It further reiterates that breaches of this ban, no matter how insignificant, would be viewed very seriously.
