Group demands arrest over armed robbery attack on Bishop Ebireri

The Conference for the Actualization of Human Rights (CAHR) is calling on the Delta State Police Command to intensify efforts in arresting criminals involved in the attack of Bishop Tina Ebireri at her resident.

According to reports, the suspected armed robbers trailed the female cleric from her church at Ebrumede roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area to the entrance of her compound at Agbarho Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area on the fateful day – April 9, at about 6:30pm.

The armed robbers were said to have left their mobile phones and tricycles at the residence of the Bishop and escaped with her mobile phone.

To this, The Director-General of CAHR, Omes Ogedegbe Esq, who disclosed the incident on his Facebook page has questioned the inability of the police in the area having recovered the belongings of the criminals they are yet to make arrest.

He said, “It is sickening at this point that the Police of Agbarho Division is yet to make any major arrest.

“This is a demand on the Commissioner of Police to immediately direct his Agbarho DPO to commence action without delay.”
