Gov. Buni commends FG’s refund of N18 billion to Yobe, assures of more infrastructure devt

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has commended the federal government’s approval to refund N18 billion expended by the state government on the reconstruction of five federal roads in the state.

According to a statement signed by the Director of Information Services, Yobe state, Husna Ibrahim, Governor Buni assured that the state would witness more infrastructural development as government would make judicious use of the funds to provide more community infrastructure for the benefit of the people.

“I want to specially commend Mr President and members of the Federal Executive Council for the sense of fairness to the state.

“The refunds would finance other projects that would impact positively on the lives of our people.” The governor said.

Governor Buni further said education, healthcare delivery, water supply, employment opportunities, and others will be prioritised and sustained in the state.
