Yobe deputy gov. receives certificate of return, expresses gratitude to Gov. Buni, citizens

Yobe State deputy Governor-elect, Idi Barde Gubana, has appreciated his principal, Governor Mai Mala Buni, for retaining him as his deputy for the next four years of the administration.

Gubana disclosed this when he received his Certificate of Return from the national commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Major General Madibbo Alkali (rtd), at INEC headquarters Abuja on Tuesday.

Speaking to Neptune Prime shortly after receiving the certificate, Gubana expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Buni for finding him worthy to be his deputy and pledged his full support for the success of the administration and progress of Yobe State.

He also appreciated Senator Ibrahim Geidam for supporting the government and ensuring the continuity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

The deputy Governor-elect also thanked the citizens of Yobe for reposing confidence in the Buni-led administration by massively voting them into office again.

He said Yobe citizens can attest to Governor Buni’s excellent performance in the delivery of numerous people-oriented projects and in terms of restoring peace to the state after years of insecurity.

“We are very appreciative of the support from Yobe citizens who massively re-elected Governor Buni into office. I am assuring them that His Excellency will double the efforts he has made in the last four years.

“Yobeans should be rest assured that under the leadership of Governor Buni, there will be continuous peace and development in our state,” Gubana said.

He further urged the citizens of Yobe and all Nigerians to continue to pray for the smooth transition of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC.

The deputy Governor-elect was accompanied by Yobe APC chairman, Mohammed Gadaka; some members of the National Assembly; Hon. Zanna Zachariah and Hon. Lawal Shettima Ali; Yobe Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua.
