Terrorists attack Angwar Danko in Kaduna, march villagers into forest

Terrorists have invaded Angwar Danko village in Kakangi Constituency of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, kidnapping many residents and marched them into the forest.

It was gathered that a large number of bandits invaded the community around 6pm, on Wednesday, firing shots indiscriminately.

“Men and women who were abducted by the attackers are currently being marched into the forest,” according to witnesses.

Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, representative for Kakangi Ward in the State House of Assembly, confirmed the incident.

He stated that he had yet to receive full details regarding the number of villagers abducted but confirmed that it is in the dozens.

“I just received a call from the area informing me that dozens of my constituents have been abducted.

“The bandits have surrounded the village, and as we speak, they are still there, taking their victims into the forest. The situation is dire,” he said.

When contacted, ASP Mansur Hassan, the Public Relations Officer for the State Police Command, stated that he would reach out to the area for details before making official comment.
