Man allegedly murders pregnant nurse for ritual in Anambra

A disturbing incident has rocked the Umueri village of Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, where a man identified as Chiemelie Oborji has allegedly murdered a pregnant nurse in what is suspected to be a ritual killing.

According to reports circulating on social media, Oborji lured the nurse to his home under the guise that his mother was ill and in need of medical assistance. However, upon her arrival, he is said to have brutally killed her and fled the scene.

A viral video shared on Facebook by a user posting as Iroko Ogbunike showed residents of the community recovering the woman’s body from a pit believed to be near the suspect’s compound. The witness claimed that the body had visible signs of mutilation, with some vital organs reportedly missing, suggesting a possible ritual motive behind the crime.

The incident has sent shocks through the community, with many expressing outrage and fear. In the video, one of the youths assisting in the recovery of the body can be heard condemning the act and declaring Oborji a wanted man within the cocommunity.
