Electric Shock: 45-year-old man dies while fixing cables
A 45-year-old electrician was electrocuted while attempting to reconnect electrical cables to a pole in the Shasha area of Lagos.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, which occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 10.

“The electrician lost his life while reconnecting electricity cables to an electric pole at Shasha,” Hundeyin stated. He added that a team of police detectives were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation into the electrocution is currently underway.
