Kogi woman kills husband over second wife
A woman identified as Favour Odoba has allegedly killed her husband, Momo Jimoh Jamiu, also known as Abdul-Kadir Nagazi, in Okene, Kogi State, following a dispute over his decision to take a second wife.

Sources disclosed that the couple had been married for about nine years without having children. Trouble reportedly started after the man married another woman, who gave birth roughly two months ago.
A relative of the deceased, identified simply as Onono, said Favour invited her husband to spend the night with her after learning of the new marriage. According to the source, she later took his lifeless body to a hospital.

It was gathered that the suspect dropped the corpse at the medical facility and fled the area. Medical personnel reportedly raised suspicions of possible food poisoning or the administration of harmful injections after preliminary tests, though the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP William Aya, said investigations were ongoing to establish the cause and circumstances of the death. He added that the woman, believed to be the wife of the deceased, is currently on the run, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend her for questioning.
