Army Chief visits troops in Borno to mark Sallah

The Nigeria Army Chief of Training and Operations Major General David Amadu has visited Troops of 112 Task Battalion on behalf of Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai as part of Sallah festival celebrations in Mafa Local Government of Borno State.
Major General Amadu said visiting troops was very important to boost their morale in the fight against insurgency.
” Visiting Troops will not boost their morale but it will also create an avenue to find out their challenges.”
He said the Chief of Army staff was concerned about their welfare and commended them for their dedication and hard work.

Amadu took his time to interact with the troops of Operation Lafiya Dole and other security agencies during the visit at the local government area.
The Army Chief was also at Seven Division hospital in Maiduguri for similar mission.
The Acting Commander of the Seven Division Hospital, Major General Ernest Onuchukwu who received the Chief of Army staff said the essence of the event was to celebrate with Muslim colleagues.
Eid-ul Kabir he said teaches lessons of love, care, unity and obedient.

He said the Nigerian Army would continue to support its injured personnel.
“Their pain is our pain, and their joy is our joy, hence the essence of the outing to commemorate this holy season and to promote spirit of togetherness with Muslim colleagues and to positively affect the lives of recuperating soldiers and their families.”
Major Onuchukwu assured the sick and injured soldiers of prompt, adequate and timely medical services.
