The Yobe State Government and ADAF BML, a construction company, have signed a contract worth over N2.6 billion for the construction of Nguru Modern Market.
The state Commissioner, Commerce, Tourism and Industry, Alhaji Barma Shetima, disclosed this in Damaturu on Thursday.
According to him, the contract was signed on Aug 5 and the contractor was expected to complete the project within the period of 12 months.
Shetima charged the contractor to ensure they adhere to contract specification and maintain quality detailed in the contract agreement.
The commissioner, therefore, commended Gov. Mai Mala-Buni for his role in boosting trade, commerce and other sectors of the economy in the state.
