Five members of the Olusa family from Ajowa Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State were ambushed by unknown gunmen at Ayere Area in Kogi State on Sunday.

In a report from Naija News, it was reported that Mr Ibrahim Olusa, his wife and their three children were kidnapped while returning from their Easter vacation. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N10 million.

The family were travelling to Abuja from Ajowa Akoko before they were abducted.

Following the report, Mr Ajayi Bakare, a former Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community Council in Ajowa Akoko, condemned the frequent crimes on that road, saying it was due to the poor infrastructure of the road that belongs Kogi State.
