Yobe State Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Honourable Mai Mala Buni today, June 26, 2021, led a high powered delegation to Umuahia, Abia State to condole with the family of Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States of America, Dr Uzoma Emenike, who lost her mother, Lady Felicia Olaocha Ohadiugha.
This was contained in a press release signed by Mamman Mohammed, Director General, Press and Media Affairs to Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Governor Buni was accompanied by the Deputy Senate President Omo Agege, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Ahmed Idris Wase, Governor Hope Uzodima of Imo State, Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and several members of the National Assembly and Ministers.
Governor Buni who commended the Ambassador for the good representation of Nigeria in the US said:
“Nigeria is in dire need of beneficial partnership and collaboration to help the country overcome its challenges and develop.
“Nigeria also needs your professional expertise to cement the relationship between Nigeria and the US”, Buni said.
He described the life of Lady Felicia as “a life well spent and her death was a celebration of life”.
Governor Buni prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Ambassador Uzoma, who expressed appreciation with Governor Buni and members of the delegation who went to commiserate with her family, described it as a show of love to the family at this moment of celebrating their mother’s life.
