The Military has commenced a routine training exercise for some of its soldiers in Niger State.
This was disclosed on Tuesday, July 20 by Mary Noel Berje, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State.
The statement which was issued in Minna, the state’s capital, said the 2-days range classification exercise which will hold in Kagara town, headquarters of Rafi Local Government Area and its environs, beginning from July 21 to July 22, 2021, will see soldiers carry out life firing of heavy guns.
It also said there would be lots of noise from gun firing by the soldiers, and advised the people within the locality not to panic and not to allow mischievous elements to deceive them with a negative rumour of any impending danger.
“There should be no public panic because it’s a routine military training exercise. The people around Kagara town and its environs are advised to disregard any attempt by mischief makers who may want to spread a false rumour of impending danger”, the statement said.
