The Governor said as a retired teacher, the late Baba Tasha contributed immensely to the growth and development of education in the state and had raised and mentored great leaders in the society.

“Baba was a great educationist, philanthropist, bridge builder and respected community leader who spent the greater part of his life promoting peaceful co-existence and impacting positively on the lives of many in Tangale land.

“The late elder statesman was an epitome of fatherhood who raised honourable and respected children in the society, among them, the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to the Governor in the office of the Deputy Governor in the person of Mr Jack A. Tasha,” he said.

The governor extended his condolences to Mr Jack Tasha and his siblings as well as entire members of Tasha’s family, consoling them to take solace in the fact that their patriarch lived an exemplary life and left behind good legacies.

He also prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give those he left behind the fortitude to bear the great loss.
