In a bid to resolve the crisis bedevilling the Kano state chapter of the ruling APC, Yobe State Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Mai Mala Buni has again met with Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and a former governor of the state, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau.
The meeting which lasted for about six hours took place on Friday at the Yobe State Governor’s lodge in Abuja.
According to reports, both factions had during the meeting presented their demands and gave suggestions on how to address the issue with a view to ensuring amicable resolution of the crisis.
The source explained that the National Headquarters of the party had on Friday received briefings and proposals from the two factions after the reconciliation meeting.
“The national leadership of the party has promised to study all the proposals presented at the meeting and take a definite stand that will be communicated to the two parties at a meeting to be convened at a later date soon,” the source said.
Neptune Prime reports that the stakeholders had recently met except Governor Ganduje who was attending the meeting for the first time.
Governor Buni was joined by Governor of Zamfara state Bello Matawalle and Yakubu Dogara to broker peace between the Ganduje and Shekarau factions.
