Bandits kidnap 2 wives, 6 children of traditional ruler in Taraba

Bandits have kidnapped two wives and six children of the Chief of Mutum Biyu, Sani Suleiman Duna, in Jalingo the Taraba State capital.

Taraba State Police Spokesman, Abdullahi Usman, confirmed the abduction of the royal family members to The Nation on Friday, saying the victims were kidnapped in the early hours of Thursday.

He said, “They came around midnight on Thursday and then scaled over the fence and started breaking the doors. Then they were able to kidnap the wives and six children”.

He added that the police assured him that they are doing everything possible to make sure his family are rescued unhurt.
