In an effort to ravaging the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Yobe State the incumbent Governor Mai mala Buni didn’t stop people from exercising their Congregational prayers.

As it was all known, the Federal Government have enforced total lockdown on Lagos, FCT Abuja and Ogun for some weeks as one of the preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, and also gave an option to the other states to follow some guidelines though Kaduna, Borno and few states had followed such measures of enforcing lockdown, but the executive Governor of Yobe State. Governor Mai Mala Buni looks thoroughly into the issues of COVID-19 around the state and chooses not to enforce lockdown,  thereby he initiated a task force to fight the spread of the virus, asked people to maintain personal hygiene and respect the guidelines given by the center of controlling diseases in Nigeria”.

This is a sign of good leadership and he did an appreciable just of not letting people at home a midst of such poor economy.

The religious leaders have also recommended and appreciated the effort of Buni they considered him as someone who loves his people.

However, the Yobe State Government has provided a team under the leadership of his Excellency, Honorable Idi Barde Gubana which is set to look after the spread of the virus, fight and enlighten people about it and they also enforced used of face masks, hand gloves and other necessary things that will help to be protected from the virus.

Also, the distribution of relief materials across the 17 local government of the state is commendable and that alleviate boredom among the people of Yobe state.

Specifically, the Yobe State Government shared some certain foodstuffs, materials and other important palliatives that could help people.

likewise, the governor   shared a sum of twenty thousand naira to each and every less privilege and lower class business people around the state more especially ( Akara sellers )

The measures government of Yobe State being taking to curb and control the spread of the dreaded virus is a welcome development.
