It’s Islamically allowed according to him, for one to defend himself against attacks. One must rise to defend himself, his family and his assets. If you die while trying to defend yourself, you will be considered a martyr, adding that it’s surprising how a bandit will own a gun while a decent person does not have ways of defending himself by having very good weapons like guns.

He noted that the state government will have those who plan to have arms to help bring an end to the spite of banditry in the state. He added that whoever comes forward with the intention of procuring arms legally to defend themselves will be supported because the government has discovered that leaving everything in the hands of security agencies will not bring the situation under control.
