He said as the future leaders of tomorrow, the children need the basic education that will propel and prepare them for the task ahead.

He admonished both parents and teachers to ensure that the children acquire the education that will make them withstand the challenges of life even as he assured that his government will not relent in playing its role effectively and efficiently.

The Governor who acknowledged challenges the nation is going through at the moment, especially insecurity, said all hands must be on deck to safeguard the children against the activities of terrorists and as well ensure they do not take up to crime and criminality in the society.

“We all need to ensure that we give our children quality education and inculcate good morals in them so that they will grow up and add value to the society rather than becoming problems,” he said.

The Governor prayed to God to continue to guide and direct the Nigerian child to greatness irrespective of their backgrounds while urging them not to lose hope in the current turbulent situation of the country but to remain resolute that there would be light at the end of the tunnel
