Covid 19: Bauchi Gov’t reviews lockdown

Bauchi State government has relaxed the decision to lock down the state over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic for it’s an inability to provide palliative measures.

The review is to enable the citizens to find sustenance by the day.

The lockdown will only be emphasized to its borders to guard against the influx of the virus into the state.

This was disclosed by the Deputy Governor Baba Tela while briefing at the Government House. He said ” restrictions of movement of people in towns and villages are Herby eased, but people are enjoined to maintain the one-point two metres spacing and avoid overcrowding.

Effective from 6 pm, our borders will be closed for an initial period of fourteen days”.

He explained that the statistics with regards to the pandemic is the same as 99 citizens have been tested, 3 have tested positive while 96 are negative.
