FIDA commends Buni for assenting VAPP, Child Protection and Justice Reform laws

The Yobe Branch of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), has commended the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni for assenting the Violence Against Person (Prohibition) Act (VAPP), Child Protection and Justice Reform laws.

This was contained in a statement signed by Barrister Hannatu Farouk Jauro, Chairperson, Yobe branch.

Indeed this is a good effort by His Excellency in the fight against all forms of violence in our dear state. The Rights of children will also be preserved and protected.

FIDA Yobe is at the forefront of fighting against Gender-Based Violence in the state.
We pray for the full implementation of all the laws assented.

We also appreciate all the partners for their support, indeed this is a big step forward and we hope this will curb or bring to an end to all forms of Gender-Based Violence in the state.
