Police appeal for help to reunite found missing child with family in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has called on residents to assist in tracing the family of a young boy who was recently found and taken into protective custody.

In a statement shared on Facebook on Monday, the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Yahaya, said the child was discovered by a good Samaritan and subsequently handed over to officers at the Ngurore Police Station.

According to him, the boy, identified as Yusuf Fidelis, was found around the NNPC Depot area and safely brought to the station.

“A good Samaritan found a missing child along NNPC Depot and brought him to Ngurore Police Station. The child’s name is Yusuf Fidelis and he is from Damilu,” Yahaya stated.

The police urged anyone with useful information about the boy’s relatives to come forward, emphasizing the role of community cooperation in reuniting missing children with their families.

Members of the public who recognize the child or know his family are advised to contact the Divisional Police Officer, Ngurore Division, via 08032753144.

The command appealed to residents to share the information widely to help ensure Yusuf Fidelis is safely reunited with his loved ones.
