Fire ravages Christ Embassy generator house, damaging millions in property
A fire broke out on Tuesday evening at the generator house of the Christ Embassy Church on Oregun Road, Lagos State, destroying properties worth millions of naira.
The Lagos State Fire Service responded quickly to the blaze, which started around 6:20 pm, and managed to prevent further damage after battling the fire for about three hours.
The fire destroyed the entire generator room, which housed 14 large diesel-powered generators, several diesel and PMS storage tanks, armoured cables, and air conditioning compressor machines. Despite the extensive damage, no casualties were reported, although one fire service member sustained an injury.

Lagos State Fire Service Director Rasak Fadipe and LASEMA General Manager Dr. Femi Oke Osanyintolu confirmed the details of the incident, noting the challenges faced by emergency responders and the efforts made to contain the fire and prevent the tanks from bursting.
