For abandoning the North, God will judge Buhari- Bafarawa

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Former presidential aspirant, and 2-term Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to remember he had sworn with the Holy Qur’an to protect the lives of Nigerians and God will definitely judge him seeing as he has failed woefully to live up to his responsibilities.

According to the former governor, “The issue of electing Buhari as President was the collective decision of Nigerians after massive insecurity that was the order of the day during the Jonathan administration. By then, if you are not supporting Buhari, some will even doubt your religious inclinations; even non- PDP members in the North massively voted for him, hoping that he will give Nigerians peace and security.

“I personally used my resources and even travelled severally to the holy land to perform lesser Hajj for Allah to give us a peaceful country after 2015 elections, which Buhari won, but since then, he has become deaf and dumb. He does not want to listen to the voice of elders, we did all we could to see him and advise him but he made himself unavailable, but surely one day, he will be before God for judgment.

“I was highly annoyed on the day scores of my people in Sokoto were burnt to ashes. Buhari was in Lagos launching a book on the life and times of Chief Bisi Akande which was very embarrassing and frustrating. Before he became President he was always in my house here in Sokoto to secure my support.

“Today, no phone call, no visit, he has virtually locked himself up. He is only seen when he is boarding a presidential jet to travel out for his own reasons and purposes, but Hausa people said “Akwai Allah”.
