Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is among the best International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Female Athletes of 2019.
Doha 2019 World Champion Fraser-Pryce, who missed the London 2017 World Athletics Championships due to the birth of her child, returned to win the 100m title in Doha 2019.
It was her fourth gold medal since opening her account in Berlin 2009.
Fraser-Pryce became the first woman to win the 100m on four occasions at the IAAF World Athletics Championships.
The award for Best Female Athlete went to the USA gymnastics star Simone Biles for the 2nd year in a row: this is the result of a poll by AIPS, where a panel of 331 journalists from 102 countries voted for the Champions of 2019.
American footballer Megan Rapinoe finished second and Fraser-Pryce, third in the overall standing.
World 400m hurdles record-holder Dalilah Muhammad (USA) ended sixth while World 200m champion Dina Asher-Smith (UK) finished 11th in the field.
Argentina and FC Barcelona genius Lionel Messi took the male award, just edging long-distance legend Eliud Kipchoge into second place.
