The suspects, identified as Aliyu Sani (50), Rabi’u Ibrahim (45), Idris Haruna (38), Hussain Mato (32), and Rabi’u Inuwa (50), were taken into custody following the heinous act that occurred on July 8, 2023. The incident transpired when the young girl, who had ventured out to sell Tofu (Awara), was lured into the room of Aliyu Sani. In an appalling turn of events, all four men reportedly took turns to sexually assault her.

After the arrests, both the suspects and the victim were transferred to the Sexual Assault Referral Center in Dutse for medical examination.

The Jigawa State Police Command has assured the public that the suspects will be promptly brought before the court to face legal consequences for their despicable actions.
