Gov. Bala Mohammed donates N10 million to victims of devastating Muda Lawal Market Fire

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has donated N10 million to victims of the recent fire outbreak at Muda Lawal Market just as he pledged to rebuild all the shops gutted by the fire incident.

The fire incident which occurred on Thursday, had burnt down 12 shops and reportedly destroyed properties worth N60 million.

While visiting the market to assess the extent of damage, Governor Mohammed equally pledged to reconstruct all the affected shops and provide immediate relief to the victims.

He promised that his administration will install a transformer that would boost electric power supply across the market to improve commercial activities.

He directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to take inventory of the losses, just as he prayed to God to prevent a future occurrence of the incident.

He debunked allegations making the rounds that his administration is planning to shortchange traders of the Central Market, describing it as false and politically motivated.

The Chairman, Muda Lawal Market Association, Bala Mai Kaji, appreciated the Governor for the visit and promised to support his political ambition.
